The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) and Provincial Environment Management Bureau joined the conduct of the culminating event of the National Solid Waste Management Training Program for a World Without Waste (NSWMTP-WWW) program by Coca-Cola in partnership with TESDA.

The said program was part of the goals of Coca-Cola Company to achieve the World Without Waste (WWW) by creating a litter-free community as their first step. The NSWMPTP objectives are to capacitate the communities on Solid Waste Management and to train them to make effective communications and advocacy for proper waste management so that they could encourage everyone in their Barangay to join with them.

Since the project is currently in its beginning stage, Angono was chosen as its pilot venue due to its active implementation of its program called Zero Basura. The participants during the culminating activity came from the 10 Barangays of Angono which also underwent face-to-face training to build their competencies in formulating good management practices and producing valuable products to generate a source of income.

The participants are also asked to prepare their respective management plans for their Barangays which shall identify major environmental issues on solid waste management and their corresponding plans and actions to address the problem. Waste Analysis and Characterization Study (WACS), proposed waste management strategy, and a waste to cash business model shall also be presented.
