With the help of the Protected Area Management Office (PAMO) of Mts. Banahaw-San Cristobal Protected Landscape (MBSCPL), the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Tayabas City mounted signage at Gunao Lake, Dolores, Quezon.

The activity was part of the on-going implementation of Gunao Lake Management Plan from year 2022 to 2031, where two (2) signages were installed within the vicinity of Brgys. Dagatan and Bungoy of the said municipality.

The signage displays control policies on dumping of wastes in water bodies including lake, creek, stream, river, and sea, that may result in pollution and destruction of water and other organisms. This is also in accordance with the Republic Act No. 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000. Any form of violation thereof is punishable under this law.

With the purpose of conserving, protecting and effective management of the lake and its resources, CENRO Tayabas calls the attention of the local communities that any types of incidents concerning Gunao Lake be immediately reported to the authority.
