Quezon’s 3rd Districts Rep. Reynante U. Arrogancia led a consultative meeting with his district's mayors together with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Tourism, and the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority to brief the local government units on the current policies, activities, programs, and proposed plans to better serve the constituents of the 3rd District of Quezon through a framework based on data, informed guidelines, and plans. 

Rep. Arrogancia said that the conduct of this activity shall provide a venue to know and understand the government services being offered to the constituents of the district and to make it easier for everyone in government to reach out and provide their services.

DENR Calabarzon Regional Executive Director Nilo B. Tamoria discussed the environment and natural resources (ENR) plans and programs, specifically the investment plan for 2023 for the 3rd District of Quezon. He emphasized the technical assistance provided by the DENR to the LGUs in FLUP formulation, PA Management, Land management, NGP and enforcement activities. He also presented updates on Protected Areas conservation initiatives within the district.

CENRO Ramil J. Gutierrez presented the ENR’s current and new policy issuances, which includes the salient features of RA 11038 or the Expanded National Integrated Protected Areas System; RA 9072 or the National Caves and Cave Resources Management and Protection Act; DENR Administrative Order No. 2004-28 "Rules and regulations governing the use of forestlands for tourism purposes," and DENR Administrative Order No. 2020-06 "Guidelines in the processing and issuance of permits on the trees affected by DPWH projects."

Moreover, Quezon Provincial ENR Officer Ronilo Salac together with CENRO Cyril A. Coliflores, CENRO Joselito Barros, and CENRO Ramil J. Gutierrez answered questions on the land titling, solid waste management, and other issues during the open forum .###
