PENRO Cavite thru the Manila Bay Site Coordinating/Management Office (MBSCMO) awards  Plaques of Commendation to Hon. Emmanuel L. Maliksi, former Mayor of Imus City,  Ms. Doris L. Sagenes, City ENR Officer of Imus and Mr. Arturo P. Rosaroso, Principal of Imus National High School for their invaluable support and initiatives contributory to supreme court continuing mandamus order and in support to the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program, R.I.V.E.R.S. for Life and Climate Change Adaptation Measure.

The plaques were awarded by the Regional Executive Director Nilo B. Tamoria along with ARD for Special Concerns Jose Elmer C. Bascos and Cavite PENR Officer Januel R. Peras during the 3rd Quarter Management Conference of DENR CALABARZON in Tanza Oasis Hotel and Resort last September 2022. 

The awardees initiated the establishment of an Integrated Waste Management Facility equipped with Biogas Digester, Composting Facility, Solid Waste Transfer Station, Plant Nursery, Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and Animal Care Center within the City of Imus. Further, the establishment of a rainwater collection, wastewater treatment facility, solar panel and adoption of a waste diversion scheme through the use of recyclable materials for plant pots and MRF were also recognized in Imus National High School. 

These initiatives established in the City of Imus are vital components to achieve proper waste segregation as well as waste water diversion and energy conservation contributory to Manila Bay Rehabilitation and environmental protection and restoration. ###
