The Planning and Management Section of DENR-PENRO Cavite spearheaded the blended stakeholder’s workshop for the Updating of ENR Medium Term Plan for CY 2023-2028 at The Bayleaf Hotel, General Trias City.

The event was participated by Cavite PENR Officer Januel R. Peras together with Chief, TSD Reynaldo A. Belen; Chief, MSD Ma. Joy Grace S. Sazon and all the Unit/Section Chiefs of PENRO Cavite. It was also attended virtually by the City/Municipal ENROs and City/Municipal Planning and Development Officers of the different towns in the Province via zoom application.

The workshop aims to gather information and relevant data on the updating of the ENR MTP for CY 2023-2028. The Problem Tree, Objective/Solution Tree, Logical Framework per sub-watershed, and WFP were presented to provide a background and baseline information for the updating of the said MTP.

During the workshop, PENRO Peras highlighted the importance of the activity to address several stressing issues on the environment that needs the collective efforts and support of all the LGUs and other stakeholders of the Province. "This is the process that we usually do for environmental protection, which the agency itself cannot achieve alone. That is why, we ask for everyone's support for our continuing environmental protection efforts and also assistance for effective project implementations”, he added.

The participants were tasked to submit their updated outputs through electronic mail using the template provided by PENRO Cavite. Health and safety measures against COVID-19 were also properly observed and practiced during the activity.

“If you have plans, programs, activities, or projects that you believe are contributory to environmental protection and conservation, we can include them in the DENR's plan so that they can be implemented on time. Our intention is to protect and to properly use our natural resources responsibly”, Peras reminded. ###
