DENR CENRO Sta. Cruz extends assistance to the Mamamayan Muna Ngayon (MAMUNGA) Foundation, Inc. in the conduct of various Tree Planting activies in Majayjay, Laguna in line with their 6th year anniversary celebration which aims to promote the reforestation program of the government. The activity entitled “A Thousand Pine Tree Challenge” with the theme “Isang Pine Tree Aking Alay sa Mahal Kong Bayang Mayhay” is a partnership project with the Municipal Government, Sangguniang Barangay/SK, DepEd District Office, Batang Majayjay Organization and other civic society groups.

The activity started last weekend of July 2022 and shall continue every 4th weekend of every month. As of September 02, 2022, a total of 200-seedlings of Benguet pine (Pinus kesiya/Pinus insularis) has been planted from the said corporation.
