DUMACAA RIVER BRGY. IBABANG DUPAY, LUCENA CITY - DENR-PENRO Quezon, DENR-CENRO Tayabas, Provincial Government ENRO, PEMU, LGU-Lucena GSO, Tanggol Kalikasan Incorporated (TKI), Lucena City – ENRO, NEDA IV-A, EMB IV-A, and CPDS participated in the International Coastal Clean-up Activity with the theme "Fighting for Trash-Free Seas, Pilipinas: Ending the flow of Trash at the Source".

PENR Officer, Ronilo L. Salac, expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the protection of the environment and to those who participated in the clean-up drive activity. The Provincial Government ENR Officer, Manuel Eugenio A. Beloso, highlighted the importance of conducting such activities in protecting the environment. Furthermore, the WQMA focal person gave a brief history of the yearly activity, and the city designated ENRO welcomed the participants and led the group to the area to formally start the clean-up drive.

The clean-up activity covered a 300-meter stretch of the Dumacaa River. The volunteers gathered almost 200 kilograms of non-biodegradable garbage, which included plastic sachets, cigarette butts, disposable diapers, sanitary napkins, gloves, masks, food wrappers, plastic bottles, empty cans, toys, flip-flops, shoes, and clothes. After the clean-up activity, 200 Bokashi balls were thrown for the rehabilitation of the Dumacaa River.
