San Francisco, Quezon- The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Catanauan, Quezon responded to the invitation of the Provincial Government of Quezon and Office of Cong. Arrogancia on the Orientation of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) TUPAD or the “Tulay Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged and Displaced Workers” in Brgy. Nasalaan, San Francisco, Quezon.

The orientation was attended by the representatives from the DOLE, Provincial Government of Quezon, Barangay Officials of Brgy. Nasalaan, San Francisco, Quezon and other guests from the Office of the 3rd District Representative of Quezon. Said program serves as a partnership of different Government agencies to provide livelihood opportunities to the community and beneficiaries which were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The TUPAD beneficiaries will work on the different activities such as clean-up activities, tree planting, and other community service within the public places.

OIC-CENRO Ramil J. Gutierrez suggested that the beneficiaries can work on the established graduated NGP Site in Brgy. Pagsangahan, San Francisco, Quezon which is nearby in Brgy. Nasalaan. He also committed that the DENR-CENRO Catanauan will provide necessary technical assistance on the TUPAD Program by providing planting materials in the conduct of tree planting activities within the established NGP Site. Similarly, he also proposed that the DOLE can adopt the NGP Site in Brgy. Pagsangahan as a tree planting site for the TUPAD beneficiaries to forge a formal partnership under the DENR TAK Program. ##
