OIC- CENRO of Calaca, For. Isagani Amatorio, together with the Regulation and Permitting Section headed by Engr. Rosalia Balicanta, conducted a meeting with the Barangay Local Government Unit of Calayo, Nasugbu, Batangas to inform the stakeholders on the easement zone of the Looc River and Coastal Area of Brgy. Calayo.

Pursuant to the provisions of PD 10675 and DAO-2021-07, banks of rivers and streams with channels at least 5 meters wide or continuously flowing rivers even with less than 5 meters width, creeks, arroyos or esteros shall be subjected to legal easement of (20) meters in agricultural lands.

As disclosed during the conduct of inspection and inventory of occupants and structures within the easement of the said area, there are houses and other structures identified to be within the 20-meter Salvage Zone and within the foreshore area of West Philippine Sea. These were presented to the LGU by CENRO Amatorio through drone shots of river and coastal areas.
