The DENR PENRO Cavite through its Manila Bay Site/Coordinating Management Office (MBSCMO) joins the inauguration of Eco-Village in Imus City which is targeted to greatly contribute to the achievement of sustainable development within the city.

The event was graced by Hon. Emmanuel Maliksi, City Mayor of Imus, together with his City ENR Officer Doris Sagenes. In addition, it was participated by MBSCMO Focal Person Judaline A. Fabro; PEMO Cavite Adan Umipig; and representatives from various barangays of Imus City.

Various facilities will also be established within the Eco-Village such as the Garbage Transport Station; Composting Facility; Material Recovery Facility (MRF); Animal Impounding and Health Care Center; and City Agriculture Plant Nursery which will all be contributory to waste management and other possible environmental endeavors.

Moreover, 10 ornamental species of bamboo culms were also planted within the premise of the eco-village during the event. Mayor Maliksi expressed his utmost gratitude to DENR PENRO Cavite for its unwavering support to their City. ###
