The Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in partnership with DENR PENRO Cavite had resolved to establish the Enhancement of Marine Litter Management (EMLM) project in particular locations within the Province.

The project aims to prevent and reduce marine pollution by strengthening the environmental protection system of Manila Bay and raising awareness on marine litter. The EMLM project includes the operation of clean-up vessels, establishment of marine litter monitoring stations, and CEPA activities to raise public awareness on marine litter.

(1) Barangay San Rafael IV (Long Beach), Noveleta; (2) Barangay Silangan I, Rosario; (3) Barangays Julugan I and (4) Capipisa, Tanza; and (5) Barangay Timalan Concepion, Naic are the five (5) stations identified as appropriate spot for monitoring.

Director Al Orolfoa of Foreign Assisted and Special Projects Service (FASPS) facilitated the exit conference which was attended by the Chief Project Preparation Division (PPD) of FASPS Conrado A. Bravante Jr.; NCR Regional Executive Director Jacqueline A. Caancan; DENR CALABARZON ARD for Special Concerns Jose Elmer C. Bascos together with Cavite PENR Officer Januel R. Peras and MBSCMO Cavite Focal Person Judaline A. Fabro. Further, delegates from neighboring Regions within Manila Bay were also present during the conference.
