CATANAUAN, QUEZON- In observance of the National Disaster Resilience Month with the theme “Sambayanang Pilipino, nagkakaisa tungo sa Katatagan at Maunlad na Kinabukasan”, the Elite Eagles Club of Catanauan, Quezon in coordination and assistance with the Community Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) Catanauan, Quezon enjoined the celebration through a tree planting activity in Brgy. Cawayanin Ibaba, Catanauan, Quezon on July 9, 2022.

The said activity was participated by the Elite Eagles Club of Catanauan, DENR personnel, and Philippine National Police (PNP). A total of 120 seedlings of Molave (Vitex parviflora) were planted within the graduated NGP Site 135.0 hectares Indigenous Plantation. The activity aims to address the challenges of Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in the municipality of Catanauan.

Under Executive Order No. 29, series of 2017, the month of July of each year is designated as the National Disaster Resilience Month throughout the country and mandates the conduct of activities relative to the building of disaster resilience which includes prevention and mitigation; preparedness, response and rehabilitation; and recovery. ###
