Calauag, QUEZON ― PENR Officer Ronilo L. Salac, new Officer-In-Charge of PENRO Quezon, set his first rounds in the area of responsibility (AOR) of CENRO Calauag after visiting the said office and getting acquainted with its personnel.

PENRO Salac has paid a courtesy call to 201st "Kabalikat" Brigade, Philippine Army Calauag to coordinate issues and concerns related to forest protection. CENR Officer Joselito D. Barros on the other hand offered the sincerest support for the tree growing activities that are planned to be conducted by the troop.

With the assistance of CENRO Barros and PENRO Quezon Technical Services Division Chief Julieta P. Narte, also the concurrent Protected Area Superintendent (PASu) of MSPL, PENRO Salac and his team then moved to visit and experience the Maulawin Spring Protected Landscape (MSPL) and the developments therein.

On the last day, 15 July, PENRO Salac also monitored the forest nursery located in Brgy. Peñafrancia, Gumaca, Quezon. Said nursery as of June is with a total of 56,618 seedlings of Cacao, Guyabano, Kalumpit, Kamagong, and Narra.

During PENRO Salac’s visit in CENRO Calauag, Quezon, he highlighted the significance of the office and field personnel in the accomplishment of targets indicated in the Work and Financial Plan (WFP) of the office. He expressed his trust and confidence to CENRO Calauag that it can efficiently accomplish its targets.
