A total of four hundred (400) indigenous and fruit bearing seedlings were planted within the ARESCOM Compound in Barangay Paradahan, Tanza as a way to celebrate the DENR’s 35th Founding Anniversary and Philippine Environment Month 2022 anchoring this year’s theme “Aksyon para sa Natatanging Mundo”.   

One hundred eighty (180) volunteers from different organizations and partner agencies actively participated in the said activity composed of the representatives from Senior/PWD/Youth Sector; key officers and reservists from the Army Reserve Command (ARESCOM) headed by Major Ariel T. Matic (INF) PA, Director of 402nd Community Defense Center (CDC); delegates from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire (BFP), Order of the Amaranth (Mason), academe sector; and personnel from DENR PENRO Cavite headed by the Chief TSD Reynaldo A. Belen, representing OIC PENR Officer Januel R. Peras who is attending an equally important environmental event in Iloilo, together with the Chief MSD Ma. Joy Grace S. Sazon and Assistant Chief MSD Froilan Q. Remulla. 

Chief PABU/PFMU Geraldo G. Tacbad demonstrated to the participants the proper handling and planting of seedlings to ensure high survival rate prior to the activity.

Planted species include 50 Cashew, 20 Nangka, 150 Guyabano, 130 Narra, and 50 Molave.
