In observance of the Philippine Eagle Week (PEW) celebrated from June 4 to 10, anchoring this year’s theme “Kapayapaan at Kalayaan: Ang Agila at Mamamayan may Kaugnayan”, the DENR PENRO Cavite through the Protected Area and Biodiversity Unit (PABU) organized an environmental lecture highlighting the Philippine Eagle. It was held at Trece Martires City National High School (TMCNHS) on 06 June 2022.

Twenty (20) senior high school students who are also members of the Youth for Environment in Schools-Organization (YES-O) actively participated in the environmental lecture. The YES-O is a school-based co-curricular organization established to serve as a significant venue for students' actions towards the protection and conservation of the environment.

The activity aims to emphasize the ecological importance of the Philippine Eagle and other wildlife in sustaining life on Earth. Further, it also aims to serve as a platform for a Call to Action campaign to embrace conservation of wildlife and their habitats in the pursuit of biodiversity protection and conservation.

The event was graced by the technical division/section/unit heads and other employees of PENRO Cavite namely: Chief TSD Reynaldo A. Belen, Chief CDS Alipia D. Espiritu, Chief PABU/PFMU Geraldo G. Tacbad and Planning Officer I/Information Officer Paolo Obstaculo in partnership with TMCNHS, represented by Master Teacher II Caroline E. Eugenio.
