Fruit-bearing trees, planted around Gunao Lake

The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Tayabas City together with the representatives and participants from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), National Fire Training Institute (NFTI) and Barangay Local Government Unity (BLGU) conducted a tree planting activity in Brgy. Dagatan, Dolores, Quezon on May 14, 2022 where a total of 150 seedlings of Calamansi (Citrofortunella microcarpa) were planted around Gunao Lake.

Gunao Lake, as assessed by CENRO Tayabas City in 2021, has an on-going Management Plan Implementation from the year 2022 to 2031. Generally, the purpose of the plan is to conserve, protect, and effectively manage the lake and its resources as well as activities within the area. Tree planting is just one (1) of the various activities included in this management plan.
