The provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Tree Planting in celebration of the Philippine Environment Month this June.
 
More than 5,000 seedlings were planted by more than a thousand volunteers coming from various groups, agencies, institutions, and organizations in CALABARZON yesterday, June 8. Details of the tree planting activities facilitated by the Region's PENROs and CENROs are as follows:
 
PENRO Cavite - 400 seedlings of Cashew, Nangka, Guyabano, Narra, and Molave planted by 180 DENR employees and volunteers at Brgy. Paradahan, Tanza, Cavite
 
PENRO Laguna – 170 seedlings of Bitaog, Duhat, Kalamansi, Calamandarin, and Bamboo planted by 90 participants in Brgy. Maitim, Bay, Laguna
 
CENRO Sta. Cruz – 500 seedlings of Narra planted by 81 participants at Brgy. Magsaysay, Siniloan, Laguna
 
PENRO Batangas and CENRO Calaca – 300 seedlings of Bitaog planted by 80 participants at Brgy. Bucana, Nasugbu, Batangas
 
CENRO Lipa – 430 seedlings of Busain planted by 53 participants at Brgy. Lagadlarin, Lobo, Batangas
 
PENRO Rizal and Regional Office - 2,020 seedlings of Narra, Dao, Guyabano, Pili, Kamansi, Kakauate, Lumbang, and Palumaria planted by 201 volunteers at Brgy. Sto Niño, Tanay, Rizal inside Kaliwa River Forest Reserve
 
PENRO Quezon and CENRO Tayabas – 200 seedlings of Molave planted by 77 participants within Quezon Protected Landscape at Brgy. Silangang Malicboy, Pagbilao, Quezon; 50 seedlings of Narra planted by 15 participants at Brgy. Ibabang Palale, Tayabas City, Quezon
 
CENRO Real – 150 seedlings of Molave planted by 20 participants at Brgy. Maragondon, Real, Quezon; 200 seedlings of Kamagong, Lipote, and Narra planted by 73 participants at Brgy. Magsaysay, Infanta, Quezon
 
CENRO Calauag – 300 seedlings of Guyabano planted by 62 participants along Pipisik River, at Brgy. Butaguin, Gumaca, Quezon
 
CENRO Catanauan – 300 seedlings of Narra and Kalumpit planted by 95 participants along the stream bank of Brgy. Taguin-Candangal, Macalelon, Quezon
 
Meanwhile, continuous regreening efforts in CALABARZON is being conducted. Graduated National Greening Program sites are also promoted to be adopted by interested groups or organizations through a Memorandum of Agreement under the Tayo Ang Kalikasan Program.
