The DENR CENRO Calauag, through the Monitoring and Enforcement Section (MES) conducted a capacity building for the newly appointed personnel and regular patrollers involved in the implementation of the LAWIN Forest and Biodiversity Protection System.

The LAWIN System was launched by the DENR in partnership with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Biodiversity and Watersheds Improved for Stronger Economy and Ecosystem Resilience (B+WISER) Program on March 10, 2016. LAWIN is currently adopted by the DENR as a national strategy for forest and biodiversity protection in the Philippines pursuant to DENR Administrative Order No. 2018-21.
