PENRO Laguna, led by PENRO Eriberto B. Saños, participates in the 2022 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC). The first week of March is recognized as Women’s Week and employees will be wearing purple attire every Tuesday from March 1 – 31, 2022 expressing support for gender equality and women empowerment (GEWE). This celebration is an opportunity to commemorate achievements of women, actions towards gender equality and further steps in attaining women empowerment. 

The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) agreed on Agenda ng Kababaihan, Tungo sa Kaunlaran as the sub-theme for the 2022 NWMC. This pertains to the rights of women to share their knowledge, contribute to innovation and development actions, and be part of decision making. Gender equality advocacy is not exclusive for women and girls only. This promotes the participation of men and women assuring everyone is part of every change, action, and decision.
