In celebration of World Wildlife Day 2022, the DENR CENRO Lipa participated in the release of White Bellied Sea Eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster) on March 04, 2022 at Brgy. Subic Ibaba, Agoncillo, Batangas. The activity, spearheaded by the Coastal and Development Division (CDD) of Region IV-CALABARZON, was conducted together with DENR PENRO Batangas, CENRO Calaca, and CENRO Lipa.

The said wildlife was rescued last February 04, 2022 which reportedly got entangled with a kite in Cuenca, Batangas. After a month of recovery, it was released freely to its natural habitat. The DENR CENRO Lipa is one with the celebration of WWD 2022 with this year’s theme “Recovering key species for ecosystem restoration” as this will seek to draw attention to the conservation status of some of the most critically endangered species of wild fauna and flora, and to drive discussions to conserve them. ###
