Outgoing Quezon PENR Officer Cyril A. Coliflores handed over the department flag and key to the incoming PENR Officer Raymond A. Rivera, and vice-versa, as part of the symbolic turn over ceremonies held on January 11, 2022 in Lucena City.

DENR CALABARZON Regional Executive Director Nilo B. Tamoria and the other key officials of the department spearheaded the event and expressed their congratulatory messages to both Officers. Tamoria said the exchange of Officers was based on their seniority items/positions.

Rivera, who is also the outgoing CENR Officer of Tayabas City, is a Forester by profession and has held a CENRO position for almost 7 years including his leadership in CENRO Masinloc, Zambales. Before he assumed office in CENRO Tayabas on June 19, 2020, he had been assigned as the OIC-PENRO of Bataan and Zambales from 2017-2018 and 2018-2020, respectively.

On the other hand, Coliflores, a Forest Products Engineer by profession holding a Supervising Ecosystems Management Specialist position, accepted the duties and responsibilities of the CENR Officer of Tayabas City. Prior to his new assignment, he was reassigned in Quezon Province as PENR Officer on August 26, 2021. Further, back in 2004, Coliflores was the OIC-CENRO of Calauag where he stayed until 2012.

Tamoria said the province of Quezon holds half of CALABARZON’s land area including the programs and activities of the regional department, contributing a large impact to the overall accomplishment of the said office.###
