BUENAVISTA, QUEZON – On January 20, 2021, the newly designated OIC, CENRO of Catanauan, Quezon For. Ramil J. Gutierrez together with CENRO Catanauan personnel and staff paid a courtesy call to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Buenavista, Quezon headed by the Municipal Mayor Hon. Maria Remedios U. Rivera.

During his courtesy call, For. Gutierrez coordinated with Mayor Rivera and MPDC/Designated MENRO Engr. Maria Cel Lingayo regarding the ENR activities and projects implemented in the municipality of Buenavista, Quezon. Likewise, land matters were also discussed with OIC-Municipal Assessor Evalor C. Apurra in line with the status of land titling of residential and agricultural lands within the jurisdiction of the municipality. Gutierrez also apprised some of the activities and plans in the implementation of ENR programs in the municipality of Buenavista, Quezon, and sought for support of the Local Government Unit (LGU) especially on the adoption and joint implementation of the Forest Land Use Plan (FLUP) which was formulated last 2021.

Vice Mayor Alvin Ray Rivera was also present during the courtesy call and shared his plans for the Ecotourism of the town which highlights the coastal areas of the municipality and other ecotourism sites. He also seeks the assistance of CENRO Catanauan for the projects to be implemented within the coastal areas of Buenavista, Quezon.

Gutierrez on the other hand, expressed his willingness to support the Local Government Unit (LGU) through CENRO Catanauan in the implementation of the Ten (10) Priority Programs of the DENR in the municipality of Buenavista, Quezon.
