Catanauan, Quezon ─ After CENRO Ramil J. Gutierrez becomes officially the OIC-CENR Officer of Catanauan, Quezon in a turn-over ceremony conducted on January 5, 2022, he scheduled his first Field Visits in some of the National Greening Program Graduated Sites in the Municipality of Catanauan, San Narciso and Mulanay, Quezon on January 11, 2022 with the Chief of Conservation and Development Section (CDS) Nida C. Barros and ENGP personnel of CENRO Catanauan.

He visited the following Graduated National Greening Program Sites located in the said municipalities, to wit:

73.0 hectares Urban Plantation at Brgy. Tagbacan, Catanauan, Quezon, CY 2014;

52.0 hectares Mangrove Plantation at Brgys. Andres Bonifacio, Maligaya, Pagdadamayan, and Rizal in San Narciso, Quezon, CY 2014;

100.0 hectares  Timber Plantation at Brgy. Abuyon, San Narciso, Quezon, CY 2016;

52.0 hectares Cacao Plantation at Brgy. Bani, DSan Narciso, Quezon, CY 2014; and

5.0 hectares Other Fruit Trees Plantation at Brgy. Cambuga, Mulanay, Quezon, CY 2011.

CENRO Gutierrez highly recommends that these NGP plantations must be continuously maintained and protected in partnership with the Local Government Units (LGUs), Civic Organizations, Pos/NGOs, and volunteer partners to sustain the gains of the project.
