Relative to the instruction of the Undersecretary for Field Operations and Environment, Atty. Juan T. Cuna, CESO I, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 595, Declaring September 26 of each year as “World Environmental Health Day” (WEHD) in the Philippines, the personnel of CENRO Calauag, Quezon conducted a simultaneous cleanup within the vicinity and perimeter of their respective houses on even date, in observance of the latter.

This year’s theme of WEHD, “Prioritizing Environmental Health for healthier communities in the global recovery” focuses on the continuous worldwide recovery amid CoViD-19 pandemic. This reminds that public health is important for it is interrelated with environmental health. Likewise, it gives emphasis on the importance of environmental health to human.

Relative hereto, CENR Officer Joselito D. Barros had engaged its personnel in activities that promote environmental cleanliness and improves environmental health. Such activities conducted were simultaneous cleanup by the CENRO Calauag personnel within vicinity and perimeter of their respective houses and doing household chores.

CENRO Calauag believes that cleanliness starts at home. With these simple efforts in our home, we can create a greater positive impact to our environment.
