Two thousand (2,000) seedlings of Narra and one thousand seven hundred fifty (1,750) saplings of fruit bearing trees such as Manga, Calamandril, Guyabano, Kasoy, and Cacao, were planted in Buhay Forest, Magallanes, Cavite on 26 August 2021 (Thursday).

Cavite Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO), For. Ronita A. Unlayao emphasized the importance of ensuring the survival of the seedlings planted. She said "Ang inisyatibong ito ay marapat tularan ng ibang mga tree cutting permittee holders na kung saan ang replacement seedlings ay sama-samang itatanim ng lokal na komunidad at iba't-ibang ahensiya sa lugar.  Ito'y upang masigurado na ang pamalit na puno ay mabubuhay at magagampanan ang natatangi nitong halaga sa kalikasan".

The activity was organized by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office of Magallanes, Cavite with the assistance of PENRO Cavite. Representatives from various stakeholders and partner agencies participated in the activity namely, Department of Public Works and Highways with District Engineer Marlo Correa, Department of Tourism CALABARZON, Local Government Unit (LGU) of Magallanes, Atlas Construction, JMaligaya Construction, Janessa Ready Mix, and De Castro Family.

The tree planting activity was an environmental commitment and program of Magallanes LGU. The planting materials used were replacement seedlings under Tree Cutting Permit No. DENR-R-IVA-PENRO-CAVITE-04282021-07-A. The activity was undertaken to promote the National Greening Program (NGP) of the department.
