APPREHENSION OF ONE UNIT ASSEMBLE XLT VEHICLE WITH UNDOCUMENTED FOREST PRODUCTS LOCATED AT BRGY. PANSOL, CALAMBA CITY, LAGUNA

Los Banos, Laguna – On July 11, 2021, the Philippine National Police (PNP) – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Laguna FPU received an intelligence report regarding the transport of illegal forest products loaded in an assemble XLT vehicle travelling through the National Highway, Brgy. Pansol, Calamba City, Laguna.

Said vehicle loaded with 2,844 pieces of white Lauan and Mahogany lumber was apprehended by the PNP-CIDG Laguna FPU. The driver and his companion, both residing in San Antonio, Kalayaan, Laguna were questioned during the apprehension and were not able to provide any transport permit duly issued by the DENR.

The apprehended vehicle together with its loaded forest products were turned-over and brought to PENRO Laguna impounding area on August 2, 2021 in Lalakay, Los Banos, Laguna for proper depository and safekeeping.
