DENR CALABARZON Regional Executive Director Nilo B. Tamoria did an ocular inspection of a close to 52-hectare mangrove area in San Narciso, Quezon. The mangrove area is covered by the coastal barangays of Andres Bonifacio, Maligaya, Pagdadamayan, and Rizal. The mangroves were planted in 2014 in partnership with the San Juan Small Fisherfolk and Farmers Association (SAJUASFFA) Inc.

RED Tamoria together with Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer of Quezon Ramil R. Limpiada, and Community Environment and Natural Resources Officer of Catanauan Lupo T. Telan paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Floradel Uy-Yap.

As of this year, CENRO Catanauan has established and maintained 146 NGP sites with a total land area of 11,553 hectares, within the municipalities of Buenavista, Catanauan, Mulanay, General Luna, Macalelon, San Andres, San Francisco, and San Narciso in Quezon Province.
