On June 22, 2021, personnel from Philip Morris Fortune Tobacco Corporation (PMFTC) and JCI Manila conducted a coordination meeting with the DENR CENRO Lipa through the Manila Bay Site Coordinating/Management Office (MBSCMO)-Batangas regarding the partnership with the office on the rehabilitation program being conducted in San Juan River.

Initially, the activities such as the installation of trash traps and Aquatic Macrophytes Biosorption System (AMBS), implementation of eco-garden, hiring of river rangers and the conduct of IEC/CEPA lectures to the communities for C.Y 2021 were presented and elaborated.

Further, a Memorandum of Agreement will be prepared for a formal understanding of the obligations and commitments of the parties.

Be informed further that all the precautionary measures and safety protocols re: COVID-19 threat were properly practiced and observed during the said activity.
