CENRO Calauag joins the celebration of MOO 2021

CENRO Calauag conducts another coastal clean-up for the Month of May in celebration of Month  of May in celebration of Month of the Ocean 2021

CENRO Calauag together with PENRO Quezon personnel conducted a second Coastal Clean-up and Information Education and Communication (IEC) campaign for the Month of May in Brgy. Sugod, Lopez, Quezon dated May 21, 2021.

𝟕:𝟑𝟎-𝟗:𝟎𝟎𝐚𝐦 (𝟏 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟑𝟎𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐬) - 𝐈𝐄𝐂/𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧

Topics discussed during the said were the following: Ridge to Reef Approach, Importance of Forest, Marine Turtle Biology, Handling and Rescue Response and RA 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000.

Further, in support to the Celebration of International Day for Biodiversity (May 22), a video presentation consisting of some Flora and Fauna found in the Philippines was shared. It was emphasized that the said celebration raises awareness on the importance of biodiversity and the crucial role it plays in sustaining life on Earth.

𝟗:𝟑𝟎-𝟏𝟏:𝟑𝟎𝐚𝐦 (𝟐 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬) - 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐮𝐩

A total of 25 sacks of garbage were collected and properly segregated by the participants.

The said activity was joined and participated by CENRO Calauag & PENRO Quezon personnel, Municipal Local Government Unit of Lopez, Quezon and Barangay Officials of Brgy. Sugod, Lopez, Quezon.
