The MBSCMO-Batangas of CENRO Lipa City conducted  a Communication, Education and Public Awareness (CEPA) on Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 (RA 9003), Philippine Clean Water Act of 2004 (RA 9275), Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program (AO No. 16), composting and vertical/eco-gardening in Barangay San Lucas, Lipa City and Barangay Pagaspas, Tanauan City, Batangas.

The activity aims to inform and capacitate the LGUs on the implementing rules and regulations under the said laws and to promote waste diversion and clean and green environment through eco-gardening program.

IEC materials on RA No. 9003, RA No. 9275 and guides in composting and construction/establishment of vertical gardens were also distributed.
