The activity was held in celebration of the World Widlife Day. Before the release, the raptors had undergone rehabilitation at the Regional Wildlife Rescue Center of DENR CALABARZON in Brgy. Lamot II, Calauan, Laguna. Last December 19, they were transferred at the foot of MBSCPL to introduce and acclimatize them in the new environment.

The release of the Brahminy Kites was facilitated by In-Charge, ORED and ARDMS Nelson Gorospe, ARDTS Alfredo Palencia, CENRO Raymond Rivera of Tayabas, Lucban Municipal Mayor Hon. Ollie Dator, Lucban Committee on Environment Head Hon. Shiela De Veza, Brgy. Chairperson of Ayuti Hon. Eduardo Alamo, and Dr. Francisco Beltran of SLSU.

Meanwhile, 2 heads of Brahminy Kite were also released in Maulawin Spring Protected Landscape in Guinayangan, Quezon.
