DENR CENRO Lipa headed by OIC CENR Officer Januel R. Peras together with Senior EMS Josefa Lozada and personnel of Conservation and Development Section (CDS) conducted an orientation for the Formulation of Forest Land Use Plan (FLUP) for the City of Lipa on February 17, 2021 held at the Mayor's Office, Lipa City Hall.

The activity was graced by the City Mayor, Hon. Eric Africa and attended by the Officers and staff from City Environment and Natural Resources Office, City Agriculture Office, City Veterinary Office, City Cooperative Office, City Assessor’s Office, City Administrative Office, City Planning and Development Office, City Engineering Office, General Service Office, and Association of Barangay Captains (ABC).

CENRO Peras presented the process flow and importance of formulating FLUP, its legal basis and eventual adoption.

Further, an open forum was held to entertain questions from the body for clarification and discussion regarding the process of Drafting of FLUP. At the end of the orientation, the LGU of Lipa City agreed to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) for partnership with DENR CENRO Lipa for the preparation and drafting of their FLUP.
