Last  October 7, 2020, MBSCMO-Batangas of CENRO Lipa City conducted an IEC and meeting on solid waste management, composting and vertical/eco-gardening in Barangay Bagong Pook, and Barangay San Fernando of Malvar, Batangas.

The activity aims to inform and capacitate the LGUs and communities on eco-gardening program to be implemented in their barangay.

Eco-gardening is one of the implementing activities of Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program (San Juan River System) for CY 2020 which aims to promote waste diversion and clean and green environment.

IEC materials on RA No. 9003, RA No. 9275, guides in composting and construction/establishment of vertical gardens and pre-collected PET Bottles were distributed.

Be informed that all the precautionary measures and safety protocols re: COVID-19 threat were properly practiced and observed in the conduct of the said activity.
