CENRO Real received a report from a concerned Sangguniang Barangay member of Poblacion 39, Infanta, Quezon, Barangay Kagawad Honorato Ancheta, Jr. of a reticulated python captured in Infanta Central Elementary School in Infanta, Quezon.

Forester Noelson Caras, together with Forest Technician I Ryan Mortiz supervised the release of the two-meter long reticulated python ( Malayopython reticulatus ) upon assessment that the python is in good condition and there is no apparent injury inflicted on the said wildlife. The python was released in the protected area covered by Proclamation 1636 in Sitio Km. 04, Barangay Magsaysay Infanta, Quezon.

With this development, CENRO Real is continuously informing the public that DENR responds and conducts rescue operations of wildlife despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The agency encourages everyone to report anyone engaging in the illegal wildlife trade of flora and fauna.
