In celebration of the World Bamboo Day which is being done every 18th of September, personnel and staff of DENR CENRO Lipa headed by OIC CENRO Januel Peras together with SEMS Josefa Lozada facilitated the conduct of bamboo planting activity along the river banks in Brgy. Ambulong, Batangas City, Batangas. The said activity was also participated-in by the host barangay officials and tanod headed by Barangay Chairperson Manolo Macatangay and officers from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) of MIMAROPA Regional Office. A total of 100 bamboo shoots of Bayog (Bambusa merrillianus) with seedlings of Narra (Pterocarpus indicus) and Kalumpit (Terminalia microcarpa) were planted.

Be informed further that all the precautionary measures and safety protocols re: COVID-19 threat were properly practiced and observed during the said activity.
