In celebration of the 11th World Bamboo Day themed “Pamanang Kawayan: Luntiang Ginto ng Kagubatan”, the DENR CALABARZON and PENRO Rizal jointly conducted a bamboo planting activity on September 18, 2020.

A total of 100 pieces of Bamboo culms (Bayog) were planted within the portion of the established plantation under the National Greening Program for CY 2014 in Sitio San Ysiro, Brgy. San Jose, Antipolo City. The bamboo planting activity was participated in by the DENR CALABARZON and PENRO Rizal officials and staff, Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (MPSA) holders in Rizal, and local government officials of Rizal Province and Antipolo City.

The activity was undertaken in solidarity with the nationwide simultaneous bamboo planting event initiated by the DENR-Forest Management Bureau.
