The DENR CENRO Lipa’s Investigation Team coordinated with Mayor Noel B. Luistro and MAO/MENRO Ronald C. Castillo about the reported alleged over population of monkeys in the said area. Based on testimonies, the monkeys cause damage to harvestable crops of the locals residing in Barangays of Nag-iba, Sampaguita, Majuben and San Jose, all in Mabini, Batangas.

Proper coordination and validation were conducted by the team to help address the reported issue on monkeys.

Be informed further that all the precautionary measures and safety protocols re: COVID-19 threat were properly practiced and observed during the said activity.
