
One (1) Reticulated Python ( Python reticulatos) with 2.2 meters in length was reportedly rescued by the residents of Brgy. Poblacion 4, Balayan Batangas and immediately turned over to MENRO Balayan. The said wildlife was then turned over to this Office today, June 12, 2020 as acted by the CENRO Calaca Quick Response Team.
Reticulated phyton is not threatened with extinction, however, under Apendix II of CITES, trading and selling of its skin is regulated to ensure that their survival is not compromised.This species is listed on the IUCN Red List with a Least Concern status.
