Last June 5, 2020, CENRO Calaca celebrated the World Environment Day with the theme "Celebrate Biodiversity" in Brgy. Balitoc, Calatagan, Batangas. ( Low Risk Area re: COVID-19 cases with 0 incidence)

Among the activities conducted during the celebration were: Monitoring/maintenance of Mangrove Temporary Nursery at Brgy. Talisay and Brgy. Balibago, Calatagan Batangas; a lecture on the brief history of World Environment Day by CENR Officer Januel Peras; and discussion about different species of Mangroves in the Philippines. Lastly, a coastal clean up at Bon-Bon Islet, Brgy. Talisay was also performed.

Further, during the conduct of the said activities, selected personnel of CENRO Calaca who participated had strictly observed and practiced the safety and Healthy precautionary measures such as wearing of face masks, bringing their own sanitizers/alcohols and observance of at least 1m Social Distance.
