The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) IV- A started off with the first leg of their capability enhancement information sessions for the Local Government Units (LGUs) for Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal on November 12, 2019 in Calamba City, Laguna. The second leg includes Quezon and Batangas Provinces and was held in Tayabas, Quezon on November 13, 2019.

The discussion headed by Chiefs of the concerned sections, focused on the discussion of various environmental laws, such as Toxic Waste and Hazardous and Nuclear Wastes (RA 6969), Philippine Clean Water Act of 2004 (RA 9275), Philippine Clean Air Act (RA 8749), and Policy Updates (PD 1586), as well as the permitting requirements for wastewater discharge. 

The information sessions hope to provide a refresher to selected LGU employees so that they can best complement the efforts of the Agency. ###
