An Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) was conducted in the DENR CALABARZON Regional Office on November 7, 2019, as part of a Basic Training Course for prospective ADR Officers in the region. A 40-hour internship/practicum, as prescribed by the Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution of the Department of Justice, would allow the prospective ADROs to experience actual handling of the proceedings. The ADR was attended by at least 200 participants.

The ADR is an alternative process that can be used to resolve conflicts between parties through Mediation.  Mediation is a process in which, through the help of a third person (mediator), both parties will reach a compromise agreement.

In line with this service, ADR on Wheels was stationed in Taguig City, Rizal, and Baguio City in October this year to help bring access to environmental justice through ADR.
