In celebration of 2021 Month of the Ocean, staff of Alibijaban Wilderness Area and youth representatives of Alibijaban conducted coastal clean-up along the coastal and mangrove area of Alibijaban Wilderness Area in Brgy. Alibijaban, San Andres, Quezon last May 20, 2021.

Selected youth residing at Brgy. Alibijaban were invited in this activity considering the risk of pandemic and prohibition to facilitate mass gathering.

Despite of the pandemic, they were able to collect 4 sacks of non-biodegradable composed of food wrappers, empty sachet of personal hygiene products (shampoo, soap, toothpaste), used fishing net, plastic bottles, deteriorated sacks, clothes and slippers with an approximate weight of 50 kilos.

APASu Herbert Yuzon encourage the participants to do simple things that may have a positive impact to our environment and to our ocean.
