In celebration of National Arbor Day 2020, the Society of Filipino Foresters Inc. (SFFI) CALABARZON Regional CHAPTER of DENR Region IVA, conducted a mangrove tree planting and coastal clean up in Bon-Bon Islet at Brgy.Talisay Calatagan Batangas this day, June 25,2020.

Moreover, ARD- MS/ SFFI CALABARZON Chapter President- Forester Nelson Gorospe, ARD-TS/ Forester Alfredo Palencia,Incoming OIC CENRO of Calaca- Forester Isagani Amatorio and Selected Personnel/foresters from DENR Regional Office, PENRO Batangas and CENRO Calaca participated on the said event.

During the said activity, an IEC Lecture about brief history of Arbor Day, importance of tree planting and different mangrove tree species present on the said mangrove area was discussed by outgoing OIC- CENRO Calaca Januel Peras.

Lastly, 500 propagules of Avicennia marina, rhizophora Apiculata, stylosa and mucronata were planted within the 2014 NGP site and 6 sacks of trash were also collected.
