DENR CENRO Calaca joins the celebration of the 33rd anniversary of DENR

In connection with the celebration of the 33rd Anniversary of DENR this day June 10, 2020. CENRO Calaca joined the conduct of simultaneous Anti-illegal Logging activities within our Area of Jurisdiction.

Activities conducted were:

1.LAWIN Patrolling
2.Monitoring of Quarry Operations
3.Monitoring of Look out Tower
4.Coastal Areas Monitoring
5.Mobile Surveillance/Patrolling, and
6.Conduct of IEC activities and distribution of IEC materials.

The above-mentioned activities resulted to the confiscation of one (1) unit abandoned chainsaw, turned-over of wildlife(bleeding heart pigeon) and distribution of 50 pcs of IEC materials.

Intensified Forest Protection and Anti-illegal Logging is one of the top priority programs of DENR to strictly enforce evironmental laws and regulations designed to restore,preserve and protect the country's rich environment and vast natural resources and also to ensure the full cooperation and support of local communities.
