Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 4A CALABARZON Regional Director, concurrently Buenavista Protected Landscape Protected Area Management Board (BPL-PAMB) Chairman, Reynulfo A. Juan was guided to enter into the 25-year agreement by a PAMB resolution passed during an en banc meeting of the BPL-PAMB on December 18, 2014 allowing Katigbak to set up the frequency-modulation (FM) band transmitter tower and collect from Katigbak a users’ fee of PhP 5,000 a month payable semi-annually for the first six years after which a 4.5% increase will collected every after three years.
The PAMB also appreciated Katigbak’s offering the facilities and services of the FM radio station to become an ”environmental community radio’ to air and promote environment related activities particularly in the management and conservation of the protected landscape and preservation of the National Museum’s archaeological sites also within BPl
