DENR-Batangas City pact to boost land titling

The City agreed to beef up manpower of the City Land Management Unit and the City Environment and Natural Resource Office and assign a focal person to liaise with the DENR and support the institutionalization and mainstreaming of land administration and management policies, processes and procedures, and provide after-titling services to beneficiaries. The DENR, on the other hand, will provide technical assistance, including the training of the city personnel, appropriate equipment, necessary personnel, pertinent paper-based and electronic records, and quick-response assistance in all phases of the land-titling activities. Also present as witnesses during the signing were some 1,125 city council and barangay officials and constituents of  Batangas City; Sonny Godoy of the Batangas City Planning and Development Office and the DENR filed office led by Forester Jose Elmer Bascos, Provincial ENR Office-Batangas chief and Forester Laudemir Salac, Community ENR Office-Batangas City chief,
